As a Fellow, AJ utilizes her inclusive mindset strategies to support the impactful work of various internal teams at Character Lab.

AJ envisions a future where all kids thrive in schools—no matter their zip codes. She is eager to contribute to this mission during her fellowship. 

Before joining Character Lab, AJ supported first-year teachers committed to making a difference in public schools. She created professional development series and led equity-focused workshops to enhance classroom culture. AJ holds a Bachelor of Arts in Black Studies from the University of Missouri Columbia, where she also double minored in Psychology and Criminal/Juvenile Justice.

In AJ’s free time, she enjoys learning new cooking recipes and reading books that feature magical creatures. You might find her googling pictures of Colorado mountains or watching Gordon Ramsey on TikTok.
