Joy Kim


Joy is a Fellow supporting work across all departments at Character Lab. She believes that character development is an essential component of education and is excited to apply her experience in qualitative research and social-emotional learning to her role.

Before joining Character Lab, Joy interned at the Delaware Department of Education, where she facilitated a partnership to elevate student voice in a public school district. Prior to that, she worked as a researcher evaluating the effectiveness of social and educational programs. Joy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services with a Clinical Services concentration from the University of Delaware.

In Joy’s free time, she enjoys exploring new places with friends, doing DIY projects, and being active outdoors.
