Jackie is the President and Co-Founder of the Bezos Family Foundation. She calls the intersection between a big idea and passion the “sweet spot of philanthropy”. For her, that sweet spot is education from birth through grade 12. Through investments in research, public awareness, and programs, the foundation aims to elevate the field of education and improve life outcomes for children. Jackie serves on the board for the Institute for Learning and Brain Sciences, Robin Hood, Families and Work Institute, and Thrive by Five Washington, as well as Character Lab. She also serves as an advisor to TED-Ed and the Global Nomads Group.
Erica serves on the boards of KIPP NYC and The Children’s Board at Columbia. Erica worked at Teach For America in New York City, as a consultant at McKinsey & Company and later started a family-owned real estate investment company. Erica is a graduate of Bryn Mawr College where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Philosophy and currently lives in New York with her husband and their children.
Feroz is CEO of Arena Holdings Management, an investment holding company. He previously ran the Public Equity funds at Tiger Global Management. Prior to Tiger Global, Feroz was a private equity investor at Silver Lake Partners and a consultant at McKinsey & Co. He studied Engineering and Mathematics at Princeton University and serves on the Boards of Character Lab, the Tiger Foundation and Teach For America-New York.
Since 2006, Ira has been a co-founder and Managing Principal of New Holland Capital. From 2002-06, Ira managed the hedge fund investment activity at ABP, the Dutch Civil Servant’s Pension Fund. Previous to that, he managed the Lazard Asset Management Fixed Income business, managed hedge funds, and institutional mandates for a global base. He has held various trading and investment positions at Timber Hill, Inc., Goldman Sachs, and Mocatta Metals. He holds a BA from Northwestern University in economics and mathematics.

Dave co-founded the KIPP schools in 1994 with Mike Feinberg. In 2007, he co-founded the Relay Graduate School of Education, a master’s program designed for teachers. In his work, Dave is focused on issues relating to leadership, teaching, coaching, transforming education, character, motivation, and parenting. Dave and Mike’s work is the subject of Jay Matthew’s best-selling book, Work hard, Be nice: How Two Inspired Teachers Created America’s Most Promising Schools.

Dominic is the Head of Riverdale Country School, a PreK-12 independent school in New York City. Previously, Dominic has worked in a variety of teaching and administrative roles in schools in Europe and the Middle East. His work has focused on curriculum development, cognitive and technological advancements for learning, character development, positive psychology, interdisciplinary studies, and design thinking. He and his wife, Kris, live in the Bronx.
Luis von Ahn
Luis is an entrepreneur and computer science professor at Carnegie Mellon University who is considered one of the pioneers of crowdsourcing. He is known for co-inventing CAPTCHAs, being a MacArthur Fellow and selling two companies to Google in his 20s. Currently, he is the co-founder and CEO of Duolingo, a language-learning platform created to bring free language education to the world. With over 170 million users, it is now the most popular language-learning platform and the most downloaded app in the Education category worldwide on both iTunes and Google Play. Luis has been named one of the 10 Most Brilliant Scientists by Popular Science magazine, one of the 50 Best Brains in Science by Discover, one of the Top Young Innovators Under 35 by MIT Technology Review, and one of the 100 Most Innovative People in Business by Fast Company magazine.
